The Gift of 15 Years

In 2 Kings 20:1-6 we read that Hezikiah was deathly ill and he was told to get his affairs in order because he was going to die. When Hezikiah heard this, he prayed to the Lord, “Remember, O Lord, how I have always been faithful to you and have served you single-mindedly, always doing what pleases you.” 2 Kings 20:3

Not only did God hear Hezikiah’s prayer but He healed him and ADDED 15 YEARS TO HIS LIFE. “I will add fifteen years to your life, and I will rescue you and this city from the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my own honor and for the sake of my servant David.”

2 Kings 20:6

What if I knew God was giving me 15 years? What would I do? Would I create a bucket list of all the places I want to see and things I want to do (like the movie?) Would I cast off all restraint and do whatever I pleased? Nope! I started to think about my family and friends who do not know Jesus. I would have 15 years to share the Good News and lead them to the Lord. My list would consist of the people I want to influence for the Lord besides the divine appointments God places before me. The beauty is, God doesn’t have to tell me how much time I have….I can take action and start on that list today!!!

What would you do if you had the gift of 15 years? ♥️
